My Favorite Children's Book

My all time favorite book is "I Love You Stinky Face" by Lisa McCourt.

ISBN-13: 9780439634694

This book tells a story of a boy who questions his mother about her love for him. He wants to know if she would love him even if he was a Skunk named Stinky Face, a Swamp Creature and many more. This book tells the story of a mother's love and that it is unconditional. I have read this book to my children for years and I will continue to. I highly recommend this book for any child.

Samantha, your Margaret Mead quote strikes me as one of the most essential ideas in quality early childhood education programs. We can help children build problem-solving, critical thinking and self-regulation skills by providing choices in the classroom. We can support young learners as they navigate these choices so that they can learn HOW to think, not WHAT to think. Susan

Hi! My name is Samantha and I am a wife, mother of 3 (soon to be 4), an educator, and an advocate for children by heart. I just received my Bachelor's degree in Child Development from Walden University and I went directly into my Master's program in Early Childhood Studies with a concentration in Public Policy and Advocacy. I love the learning process and I am eager to incorporate the practices I have learned to effectively educate children and their families. I have always had a love for children and when I was 18 years old I started working with children and adults with developmental disabilities. I continued to work in the same program for almost 15 years until I decided a life change was needed in order to chase my dream. I resigned my job to raise my 3 child and finish school. I missed my job terribly but I am very glad that I was able to finish my degree to give myself and my family a better opportunity at life.
